E.F.G.F MS[G] PLATOON BRIEFING SET 1/35 by Bandai (1/02/2007, Author: P.R)

I can't think of too many sci-fi kits in 1/35 scale, so this is a welcomed surprise. The fact that you also get an extra five figures, ammo crates, ammo belts, table/work station, cups, bag, hand guns, jerry can, drivers helmet and markings is an added bonus.

The kit is a good size with just the hull part measuring about 25cm long and that does not include the added parts to the front section. There is no less than eighteen spurs/tress on this kit which can be seen on the instruction parts list which I have included as part of this review.

The figures are very nice, I would say they are better than Tamiya figures and close or even the same as dragon figures in quality. I have included a pic of the girl from the kit but have placed the helmet on her head (to do this required some modifications).

Another nice aspect of this kit is the anti skid markings on the hull and some of the hatches and doors are separate, so they could be left open. An interior could be designed for inside that would be partly viewable.
This kit is just asking for extra detail, as other items can be added to it from your left over 1/35 kit parts/ P.E parts from other unused kits.

Lastly one thing I like about this kit is I can paint it whatever colour I like, as it is a sci-fi kit. This kit will come up really well with some nice washes, chips and other weathering detail.

Highs
The detail is good on this kit as well as the five figures. The kit seems to fit its main parts together very well and the inclusion of seperate hatches is nice. At this point the detail and fit reminds me of a Tamiya kit.

Lows
Not really lows but an interior would have been nice and maybe dry transfers. Also some english instructions would have been a nice inclusion.

Finally
This kit is great, it's a welcomed sci-fi kit because of its design and scale. It's not often we get sci-fi kits with five figures included and many extras. At first look it appears to go together pretty well.
